Cooking Isn't Just What We Do β It's Who We Are
For us, food has never been about shortcuts or factory kitchens. It is a sacred art, a bridge of nostalgia connecting the sun-drenched courtyards of Rajasthan to the vibrant city of Singapore.
Every morning in our kitchen begins the same way: with the crackle of cumin seeds (jeera), pungent asafoetida (hing), and aromatic cloves tempering in bubbling pure desi ghee. That unmistakable sizzle β the Tadka β is the heartbeat of our food. It's the moment when simple, honest ingredients awaken into rich, comforting dishes that warm your soul.
Growing up in Rajasthan, we learned that true cooking requires patience: dry-roasting whole spices to release their deep natural oils, slow-simmering dal for hours to achieve a velvety texture, and kneading fresh dough by hand with love. When we moved to Singapore, we deeply missed the authentic, comforting flavors of genuine home-cooked Rajasthani food β and we knew we had to share this culinary heritage with everyone.
We treat every single meal as if we are serving our own family. In Indian tradition, 'Atithi Devo Bhava' means the guest is divine β and every dish is crafted with that very reverence.
